What you'll do
Working within the Information, Systems & Change Directorate, you will develop and maintain data pipelines, models, and analytical products that form the backbone of NHG's data capability. You'll ensure that data is accurate, timely, and trusted - enabling stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions.
You'll partner with technical and non-technical teams to understand business needs, translate them into data-driven solutions, and continually enhance our analytics engineering standards and practices.
How you'll do it
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.
- Develop analytics engineering solutions and data products within a medallion architecture, optimising for performance and usability.
- Own and manage NHG's Power BI platform - ensuring effective operation, security, and performance.
- Collaborate across data, governance, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Monitor data processes to ensure high availability and reliability; proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Follow rigorous testing and quality assurance to maximise trust in NHG data.
- Communicate technical insights in simple, non-technical terms to business stakeholders.
- Help grow NHG's data management and analytics roadmap, ensuring we remain at the forefront of data innovation.

The ideal candidate

Essential:
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience in analytics engineering, data modelling, and building ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with OLAP, reporting, and analytics principles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, and Power BI.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Commitment to continuous learning and innovation in data technologies.
