Job title: Apprentice Engineering Technician – Level 3
Qualification - Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician
Hours - 36 hours
Fixed term - 40 months
Salary - NMW age dependent (breakdown per age group as below)
- Age 16-17 £14,604 (£7.78 per hour)
- Age 18-20 £19,335 (£10.30 per hour)
- Age 21+ £23,615 (£12.58 per hour)
Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career. The programme provides work-based training to those who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.
The Design Services Team are looking to recruit an Apprentice who is committed and motivated to complete the 40 month programme.
Your main duties will be to provide and support the team in the design, preparation of contract documentation and supervision of a range of highway and infrastructure related works. You will be involved in the analysis of transport issues, the development of solutions, consultation with the public and stakeholders as well as the design and supervision of schemes and monitoring of their effectiveness. This role combines technical training with members of the team with hands on experience.
The post will be based at Magdalen House, 30 Trinity Road, Bootle, L20 3NJ.
