As an Apprentice Gardener, you’ll work alongside experienced horticulture professionals to help maintain our parks, green spaces, sports facilities, cemeteries and playgrounds. This hands-on role is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while studying towards a Level 2 Horticulture Apprenticeship.

You will learn to:

Maintain shrubs, trees, flower beds, herbaceous plants
Use horticultural tools and machinery safely and efficiently
Assist with turf care, weeding, and pest control
Support seasonal planting projects and community initiatives
Work in a team to keep public green spaces and playgrounds tidy and welcoming

What We’re Looking For:

A genuine interest in gardening, nature, and outdoor work
Willingness to learn and work in all weather conditions
Good teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
No previous experience required—just a passion to grow!
