Working in Burnley’s award-winning parks and open spaces under the instruction of qualified trainers and experienced gardeners, you will gain skills and knowledge of landscape and horticultural operations such as operating machinery & equipment, maintenance of grass areas, hedge cutting and specimen pruning and the planting of trees, shrubs and other plants, litter removal and cleaning. You will also gain experience in ecological maintenance techniques.
You will also have opportunities to work across all aspects of the Greenspaces & Amenities Unit including parks, sports fields, woodland management, playgrounds and bereavement.
