Underwood West Academy is seeking to appoint a proactive, and highly motivated Apprentice Maintenance Officer to become a key part of our vibrant school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating safe, inspiring, and inclusive environments where children can thrive.
Our Maintenance team play a vital role in the life of our school. With support from our Site Manager, you will ensure our site is safe, secure, clean, and welcoming for children, staff, families, and visitors; enabling exceptional teaching, learning, and wellbeing.
You will assist the Site Manager with Health & Safety across the school and therefore you must be experienced in being proactive, using initiative and being vigilant in identifying and mitigating risk. The successful applicant will have a good level of numeracy and literacy and experience of completing inspections/checks/monitoring reports. These are all completed digitally in school, therefore confidence in using software is needed.
You will complete your Apprenticeship with Macclesfield College as part of your working time with Underwood West Academy.

Hours and working weeks are negotiable but will include securing the school at 6pm
