Apprentice Pensions Technician

Ready to start your career, earn while you learn, and make a real difference?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cheshire Pension Fund Service as an Apprentice Pension Technician. Whether you're leaving education, looking for your first career step, or wanting to develop valuable professional skills, this apprenticeship offers the chance to gain hands-on experience whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

As part of our supportive and welcoming Pension Service team, you'll learn from experienced colleagues, develop technical and professional skills, and play an important role in delivering services that support thousands of pension scheme members.

Alongside your day-to-day role, you will work towards the Level 3 Pensions Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. The programme typically lasts 12 to 18 months, fully online learning, followed by an End Point Assessment period of up to 2 months. Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll be supported by a dedicated line manager, workplace mentor, programme tutor and our Inclusive Apprenticeship coordinator.

You'll be joining an award-winning apprenticeship programme that has been recognised as a Top 100 Apprentice Employer, Regional Apprenticeship Employer of the Year, a CIPD National Finalist for Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year, and most recently Highly Commended Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Employer of the Year.

We offer modern, collaborative workspaces, flexible ways of working, and a range of excellent benefits including the Local Government Pension Scheme, employee rewards programme, retail discounts, discounted gym membership, Cycle to Work scheme, and Employee Assistance Programme. We're also proud to hold Investors in People Gold accreditation, recognising our commitment to supporting and developing our people.

If your experience looks a little different from what we've identified and you believe you can bring value to the role, we'd love to hear from you.
