Start your career in regulatory compliance and enforcement. You'll gain hands-on experience inspecting empty properties, collecting evidence and supporting investigations that help create safer, better-managed neighbourhoods across the city.

The role:

• The role of Apprentice Technical Compliance Officer you will plan, organise and carry out external inspections and assessments of a caseload as part of a busy regulatory/staturoty service in line with service objectives, policy and processes.

• As part of the role you will undertake external inspections and visits for evidence gathering and checking compliance with formal legal notices.

• In the role of Apprentice Technical Compliance Officer you will prepare letters/correspondence to property owners and other relevant persons relating to vacant properties.

• You will identify external housing related faults on vacant properties and escalate as appropriate for further investigation.

• As part of your role you will be willing to represent the service at meetings and carry out investigations and inspections out of normal office hours.

This role is fixed term for the purpose of completing the Regulatory Compliance Officer Level 4 Apprenticeship and will end 24 months after you start with us.
