About the Role
Sefton Council Operational In-House Services are looking to appoint 2 apprentices to work specifically on the Heavy Goods fleet. You would need to be dedicated and committed to completing a 39-month programme where you will also complete a Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Apprenticeship Heavy vehicle service and maintenance technician / Skills England
You would undertake all types of vehicle repair and maintenance, plant and equipment on a progressive basis in accordance with the level of training and experience received.
Your duties will include, undertaking all types of vehicle repair and maintenance, carry out aspects of fabrication, electrical, hydraulic and running repair type of work to a high standard. To carry out cleaning activities on workshop areas and to communicate both verbally and written ensuring service records, job cards and time sheets are completed correctly and concisely.
The closing date for this vacancy is Thursday 25th June 2026 (or earlier in the event of high volume of applications being received).
Provisional interview dates are Tuesday 14th July 2026.
