The Apprenticeship Management Team (AMT) at MOD Lyneham supports apprenticeship programmes that develop highly skilled engineering technicians for the Royal Air Force.
We are looking for an organised, motivated and detail-focused Information Manager to join our professional and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing apprenticeship information, learner data and accreditation processes that directly support apprentice achievement and programme success.
Working within the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT), you will help ensure that apprenticeship records, management information and funding data are maintained accurately and efficiently, enabling apprentices to progress successfully towards nationally recognised qualifications and apprenticeship completion.
No military experience is required. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with digital systems, managing information and delivering excellent support to customers and stakeholders.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
As an Information Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring and reporting apprenticeship information across a range of digital systems and platforms.
You will:
- Maintain apprenticeship and accreditation records across digital management systems.
- Manage learner information and monitor apprentice progress throughout their programmes.
- Ensure data is accurate, compliant and available to support funding and accreditation requirements.
- Produce reports, statistics and management information to support decision-making.
- Support apprenticeship certification and evidence collation processes.
- Assist with quality assurance and audit requirements.
- Support the management of learner information used for Ofsted reporting and programme monitoring.
- Work closely with assessors, instructors, station staff, awarding organisations and external stakeholders.
- Provide administrative and information management support to the Apprenticeship Centre Manager and wider Apprenticeship Management Team.
The role involves regular use of digital platforms including SharePoint, OneFile, TRACKER, TAFMIS and JPA, ensuring information is maintained securely, accurately and in accordance with policy requirements.

We are seeking someone who can manage information accurately while providing excellent support to colleagues and stakeholders.
You will have:

- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and working from home as part of a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement. All office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to site capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD workplace, will also count towards this level of office attendance.
