Job Title: ARC Rapid Response Senior
Starting Salary: £38,220 progressing to £41,771 per annum - pay award pending
Hours: 37

This role is delivered on a rota and includes working 2 out of 4 weekends, evenings, Bank Holidays, sleep ins as well as some regular office-based hours. Shifts Times are:

  • 9:30-17:00
  • 16:30- midnight.

About the team

Our Rapid Response Team is part of ARC Services – we offer therapeutic support to young people and their families across Hertfordshire through many different interventions.

The Rapid Response Team are an Out of Hours crisis team supporting families to prevent breakdown.

The team works closely with social care teams, police, out of hours Service and health.

About the role

No two days are the same within Rapid Response, they vary from supportive phone calls and visits to families during crisis, working alongside the police to de-escalate a situation, supporting a young person home from hospital, to running group activities for the young people including geocaching, bike rides, festive events, sporting activities, arts, crafts and providing mentoring support.

As a Senior in this team, you would be required to lead on crisis responses / interventions and support colleagues through role modelling and supervision.

You would be expected to identify any safeguarding concerns and ensure these are followed up.

About you

Essential:

  • Advanced awareness and understanding of Safeguarding.
  • Experience of working with young people and or families.
  • Ability to think on your feet, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Leadership and supervision skills and experience.
  • Demonstratable skills in resilience and ability to look after yourself and others.
  • Ability to work 2 out of 4 weekends a month, evenings and bank holidays.
  • Computer competency with the ability to record concise detailed reports.
  • You will be required to complete the NVQ Level 4 Apprenticeship in Residential if not already completed – college time is included within your hours.
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

  • A therapeutic way of thinking – although training will be provided on ARC Framework, Non-Violence Resistance and Developing Therapeutic Skills.
