
Area Technical Services Assistant
What will you be doing?
About the Role
Kent County Council is seeking a proactive and organised Area Technical Services Assistant to support the delivery of Hard Facilities Management (FM) services. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team, contributing to efficient operations and high-quality service delivery across KCC properties.
Key Responsibilities
Support monitoring of Hard FM operational budgets and assist with work prioritisation
Raise purchase orders for approved works promptly
Organise and administer supplier meetings, including minutes and actions
Prepare, maintain and review contract documentation and performance data
Ensure project handover documentation is received and stored correctly
Promote awareness of statutory compliance responsibilities
Deliver excellent, customer-focused service across all interactions
Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation
About You
You will be an organised and detail-oriented individual with strong administrative and communication skills, ideally with experience in Facilities Management or a similar environment.
You will have:
- Level 2/3 qualification in Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting contracts, budgets, or projects in an office environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to manage priorities and work efficiently in a team

Salary range
