The salary range for this role is £ £90,363 - £101,581 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

About the Role
As Assistant Director IT Service Delivery, you will lead mission‑critical technology services that underpin everything the organisation does, influencing how services are delivered to residents, partners and colleagues every day. Reporting to the Chief Digital, Data & Technology Officer, this role sits at the heart of strategic decision‑making, with real authority to drive resilience, transformation and innovation across a complex digital landscape.
The role leads overall IT Service Delivery, with direct line management of senior service managers and leadership responsibility for around 60 staff alongside contractor and supplier resources. Accountable for culture, capability and future leadership development, the post holder sets direction across a complex, multi‑supplier environment, ensuring reliable, high‑quality services and a strong user experience. Working closely with senior leaders, the role translates digital strategy into effective operations, owning critical services, suppliers and budgets, while delivering key priorities including the IT Service Management tool replacement, stabilising the standalone service delivery model, improving commercial outcomes, and strengthening service continuity, cyber resilience and disaster recovery capability.
In this role, your impact will be organisation‑wide and highly visible. You will shape how technology enables modern public services, influence major investment decisions, and build resilient digital foundations for the future.
