
Assistant Engineer
We are recruiting an Assistant Engineer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Team: Highway Services – Drainage

We pay an attractive salary of £35,412 - £38,220 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Caerphilly County Borough Council has an ambitious programme to deliver £1M of flood alleviation works per year through the implementation of our Local Flood Risk Management Strategy.
The successful candidate will help to manage this programme of works through making applications for grant funding, project management of complex schemes, design work, overseeing construction and reporting back to Welsh Government and other funding bodies.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 4 qualification recognised on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, HNC in Civil Engineering or related subject.
- The ability to assist effectively in project and program management.
- Experience in roles related to drainage, flood risk management, or similar fields, ideally within a local government or public body context.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving license and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to attend meetings and visit sites.
