    As an Assistant Team Manager/Principal Social Worker, you will continue to develop and build on our current strengths-based practice, build the skills, confidence and competence of social workers and their colleagues to work in line with Care Act Guidance and deliver the best possible outcomes for residents.


    This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.     We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Team Manager to join our Adult Services. The postholder will be educated to degree level in Social Work, Health and Social Care or a related field (or have equivalent experience), with experience working in adult social care within a statutory or similar setting. Experience of supervising and line managing staff, making decisions in complex safeguarding situations, and contributing to budget management is essential. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, a good understanding of key legislation including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and a commitment to person‑centred, inclusive practice.

    Confidence in using Office 365, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and willingness to work towards or already hold a Level 5 leadership or management qualification are also required.
