We seek the best talent from the widest pool of people as diversity and inclusion is the key to our success. Reading Borough Council is a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to the recruitment and continued employment of people with disabilities.

About the role

  • Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports, including presenting evidence in court when required.
  • Participate in planning and reviewing cases for children in care and support fostering and adoption arrangements.
  • Lead multi-agency meetings, including Core Groups, ensuring actions are progressed and outcomes achieved.
  • Assess and manage risk, escalating concerns appropriately and working with colleagues to safeguard children.
  • Keep up to date with legislation, research and best practice through continuous professional development.
