Audit Services Support Officer
Band D: £32,597 – £37,280 per annum
Location: Council House, Solihull / Hybrid working
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual to join our Audit Services team as an Audit Services Support Officer.
This is a key role providing high-quality administrative and management support to the Audit Management Team. While this role is predominantly supporting health and safety, you may also support other areas across this diverse and interesting service area, including internal audit, risk management, investigations and counter fraud.
You will play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of the service, helping senior managers stay organised, informed and prepared, while supporting the delivery of key governance and compliance activities across the Council.
You will be:
- Providing proactive PA and business administrative support to the Management Team and services within Audit Services
- Managing calendars, meetings and correspondence efficiently
- Coordinating and supporting meetings, including agenda management and minute taking
- Tracking actions and supporting follow-up activity
- Supporting the development and delivery of training and events
- Maintaining and improving a wide range of management systems, processes and record management
- Assisting with research, data analysis and production of reports and briefings
- Supporting policy updates and ensuring governance documentation is maintained
- Providing financial and systems administration support where required
You will be:
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Experienced in providing administrative or PA support, ideally within a large organisation
- Confident dealing with senior stakeholders and building effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Experienced in using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Able to interpret and analyse financial data
- A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
You’ll also need either a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or relevant experience demonstrating your ability to deliver the full range of duties.
A Basic DBS check will be required.
