Based in Chesterfield – full time, flexible and agile working (2/3 days a week in the office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to carry out the internal audit of activities, financial records and systems predominantly across Chesterfield Borough Council but may be required to work at other locations (Bolsover and North East Derbyshire Councils).

We are looking for candidates with:

  • ambition
  • good interpersonal skills
  • the ability to communicate assertively with a wide range of customers
  • the ability to work to deadlines with minimum supervision
  • good with figures
  • ability to produce accurate and concise reports.

Ideally, you will bring with you experience of working in an audit, financial, or similar environment however, you will be provided with full training and support to challenge, investigate, test and assess risk, governance and control arrangements within the Council.
