About the Role:

As Bus Station Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe, secure and effective operation of Macclesfield Bus Station on a daily basis.

You will carry out regular health and safety inspections to ensure the premises remain fit for purpose and safe for use at all times. You’ll monitor bus movements through the station, ensuring correct use of stands and layover areas, and liaise directly with bus drivers and inspectors regarding operational changes when required.

You will be a visible and approachable presence on site, responding to passenger enquiries and complaints, providing travel information when requested, and ensuring public transport information is displayed to agreed standards.

The role also includes identifying, recording and reporting issues relating to the condition or misuse of the facility, monitoring the behaviour of drivers, contractors and customers, and taking appropriate action where necessary. You will act as the first point of contact in the event of incidents, coordinating responses and escalating to emergency services or support teams when required.

You will work closely with on‑site security and report relevant incidents to the appropriate authorities.

This post is based full‑time at Macclesfield Bus Station, with working hours expected to be 9am to 5pm.
