Salary: Starting from £57,094 per annum (London weighted salary) or £49,502 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Grade: 10

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Join our Business Design and Architecture Team at L&Q:

L&Q is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Transformation and Change Team at an exciting time of investment, growth and business-wide transformation. As we continue to improve the services we provide to our customers, we are redesigning our CRM and Digital Experience to create a simpler, more reliable and joined-up customer journey.

In this role, you will work closely with Business Subject Matter Experts, Programme Workstream Leads, Technology colleagues and wider transformation teams to understand business needs, capture requirements, analyse current processes and support the design of improved end-to-end services. You will play a key role in helping L&Q streamline ways of working, improve customer outcomes and support the successful delivery of our Future Shape strategy.

We are looking for someone who can bring structure, curiosity and strong analytical thinking to complex change. You will be confident facilitating workshops, engaging stakeholders, documenting requirements, mapping processes and supporting teams throughout the full project lifecycle from discovery and design through to delivery and deployment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst who wants to make a meaningful impact in a large, purpose-led housing organisation, helping to shape better services for both customers and colleagues.

If successful, you will report into a Lead Business Analyst in the Transformation and Change Team and will work alongside a team of Business Subject Matter Experts and Programme Workstream Leads to really help drive improvement across L&Q and support the delivery of our Future Shape strategy.

Your impact in the role:

  • Providing business analysis support to the Transformation Programme, in support of the corporate strategy and delivery of the target operating model for L&Q Group.
  • You’ll provide support through leadership of aspects of the programme, taking complex scenarios, presenting options for decision making, and developing solutions to those options to enable successful outcomes.
  • You’ll lead on some aspects of delivery of the Transformation Programme, building on analysis and applying this to ensure successful outcomes in line with the programme’s objectives, in collaboration with colleagues across L&Q. Solutions should be enabled through business process, new ways of working, data and technology.
  • Managing relationships and influencing business and technical stakeholders.
  • Supporting the improvement in the quality of the solution through collaborative identification of good acceptance criteria, exploratory testing and supporting the design of future processes and systems.

What you'll bring:

  • Business Analysis: Strong Business Analysis skills and experience with either a formal qualification or demonstrable experience in a similar sized organisation.
  • Problem Solving: must be able to demonstrate robust problem solving, and highly effective business analysis skills.
  • Business Improvement/Continuous Improvement and Business Process: Expertise in business improvement, continuous improvement and business process development. Highly experienced in practical application.
  • Target Operating Model: Understanding of the basics of Target Operating model principles, options, purpose, and the ability to apply TOM.
  • Business Transformation: Experience of working in a business transformation or change setting, and understanding of the challenges and methodologies.
  • Data and Insight, Business Case Development, Value for Money: Ability to draw on, analyse and utilise data and insight from a broad range of sources to determine options and solutions to complex scenarios. Experience of establishing or contributing to business cases that enable value for money.
  • Budgets and Financial Performance: Basic understanding of building budgets, forecasting, and strong ability to understand financial performance and implications.
  • Risk Management: Able to identify risks, implement mitigation to manage, and to do so collaboratively design to analysis, solutions and outcomes.
  • Process Design: A good grasp of methodologies to map and analyse processes to ensure solutions are aligned with desired operational workflows.
  • Communication and Influencing: Extremely proficient at communicating verbally and in written formats, highly articulate, and strong and capable at influencing to Leadership Group level.
