The role involves regular communication with customers, either face to face, in writing and over the telephone, organising interviews under caution, providing advice regarding potential offences and ensuring accurate and timely data is updated and held on our systems. Building relationships with stakeholders and colleagues is vital for the success of the team.

You’ll also be responsible for overseeing and managing the email in boxes for both Place Protection and Community Safety, in addition to attending meetings, minute-taking and providing administrative support to the Community Safety team and wider colleagues.

The Place Protection Team seek to continually improve the service provided, and you will be actively involved in the implementation of systems to automate and streamline, as well as related reviews of processes and procedures.

You’ll get great support to help you achieve success and develop your confidence, and you’ll be working towards a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, as well as learning aspects of legislation associated with Environmental Crime and Community Safety.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, accurate, diligent, team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who has the ability to learn to use new IT systems.
