About the role

Role Summary

  • To maintain the Group’s performance management information. Providing support to the business in the development of data reports and updates.
  • To provide ad hoc analytical support across the organisation.
  • To support the business in the co-ordination and administration of the corporate planning process.
  • To manage the collection and analysis of customer survey responses, developing surveys to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • To support understanding, assessment and development of the data landscape in databases and infrastructure applications.
  • To support the use and development of data collection processes, including reviewing and validating data across databases and infrastructure applications.
  • To assist with gathering end user requirements and development of dashboards and creation of reports, supporting users to maximise benefits and insights to inform decisions and service delivery.

Meet your Manager

I have been with Town and Country Housing for five months, having worked withing the IT, Business Intelligence and Data Management space for many years and within various sectors. The Business Intelligence, Performance and Customer Insight Team is a central function with the organisation, providing performance and customer insight data and analysis to all services and team, improving services and tenant satisfaction.

This is an exciting time to join the team, as TCH as an organisation begins the process of developing its Data Governance Framework, Data Management and Business Intelligence Strategy. TCH reporting, insights and analysis function will be developed and modernised, simplifying our KPI reporting processes, ensuring performance data is both accurate and accessible for services to interpret performance, quickly and easily.

What will you be doing?

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • To co-ordinate the monthly cycle of performance data collection and analysis, monitoring, presenting and reporting to various bodies throughout the organisation and Board.
  • To collate, monitor and report on updates on the Group’s forward plan of strategies, policies and procedures, enabling the organisation to maintain the most current versions of documents. Ensure that the plan is kept up to date and reports produced on time.
  • Support the business and the Performance Intelligence Function in collating updates and reporting on Value for Money, the Annual Delivery Plan, and the Equality & Diversity Action Plan.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships across the organisation and with external contractors.
  • Assist in the collection, co-ordination and submission of the annual performance data to HouseMark to enable benchmarking of Key Performance Indicators.
  • Work in collaboration with ICT to specify and test secure data reporting from TCH data warehouse and data hub.
  • Analyse data sets to identify data anomalies and to work with the business to rectify the data to ensure data accuracy. Implement enhanced data management processes to ensure data anomalies are eradicated.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas of the business that could benefit from Power BI analytics analysis.
  • In collaboration with the team, design and build Power BI reports, developing data models and visualisations using Power Query, M Query and DAX, ensuring seamless data flows and reliable data sources.
  • Work closely with the IT department to ensure data collection and storage systems are secure and robust.
  • Work closely with the Customer Insight Team to ensure customer satisfaction performance reporting is accurately produced on a monthly and quarterly basis showing the results of the survey.
  • Provide detailed data analysis and reporting services support throughout the business as and when required.
  • Support users in the production of new data sets and reports and assist users in becoming self-sufficient in running the data sets and reports independently.
  • Support users to use their data more effectively.
  • Undertake research as requested to support service improvement and identify good practice.
  • Facilitate the production of external reporting to regulatory bodies, ensuring submitted data is accurate, reliable, and traceable.
  • Support the facilitation of new performance indicators into existing reporting structures, including Power BI datasets, validation flows, and visualisations.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and interpretation of service-level data to support business planning and continuous service improvement.
  • Produce, maintain, and enforce robust process documentation to ensure consistent, accurate, and auditable data collection across the team.
  • Support the onboarding process and provide guidance to new team members, on BI tools, reporting standards, and internal processes.
  • Identify gaps, improve systems, and initiate data-led performance enhancements across the organisation. In collaboration with the Business Intelligence and Performance Team.
  • Manage the Business Intelligence & Performance Coordinator.
