We’re recruiting for 2 x Grade 7 Business Services Assistants to support the development of our business services offer to our community support bed services across Derbyshire. These services are delivered at Bennerley Fields in Ilkeston and Staveley Centre in Chesterfield.

Our Community Support Beds offer short-term assessment and reablement/ rehabilitation to people, helping people to regain confidence and maximise their independence, in order to return home wherever possible. They are used to support people leaving hospital, requiring an urgent community response or who would benefit from reablement in a bedded care setting. They are staffed by skilled multi-disciplinary teams from health and social care. The services are going through an exciting period of change over 2025-2026 and need excellent and innovative worker who are passionate about improving services for people in Derbyshire.

In this role you would work closely with this multi-disciplinary team to develop efficient administrative approaches that support the effective functioning of the team, looking for opportunities to streamline the administrative work of the team and make the most of technological solutions. You would also be providing support to a team of Grade 5 Business Services Assistants to help with the adoption of new ways of working.

What will I be doing:

  • Duties will include support to Group & Service Managers, which includes minute taking at a variety of meetings.
  • Coordination of diaries and meetings.
  • Liaising within internal and external clients and professionals.
  • Utilising the internal client system and general IT support to colleagues.
  • Financial tasks may include petty cash, debit card holder and utilising the internal financial systems following set financial guidance.
  • Coordination, support and assistance to recruitment process of operational staff following HR processes.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
  • An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • An ability to interpret information and analyse data.
  • Assist and support with streamlining processes and implementation
  • An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
  • Previous financial experience would be beneficial.
  • Enthusiasm and transferable skills
