Job summary

We are recruiting for the role of Business Services Team Leader in our team(s) covering either Leeds and Manchester.

We trust and empower colleagues to work in a hybrid way, providing the resources, equipment, and support, so that individually and collectively, we can be the voice of children and young people when the family court makes critical decisions about their futures.

Whilst this role is part of a team based from our offices in either Leeds and Manchester, your proximity to the office doesn’t always have to be a critical consideration. However, regular attendance across the offices will be required.

Job description

Let us tell you a bit more about the role…

As the Business Services Team Leader, you will contribute to the effective and efficient management and progression of cases, taking the leading role within your team for the provision of administrative support to the local Family Court Advisors and Service Managers.

  • monitoring case progression
  • receiving referrals from the Court or Cafcass Intake Team
  • create / update / close cases within our case management system
  • sending letters and information packs to service users
  • identify any missing information and follow-up as required
  • receive and deal with telephone enquiries
  • meet and greet visitors, including service users
  • general admin support
  • Complete office-based health and safety checks including first aid and fire marshal duties (training will be provided)

Person specification

  • A relevant qualification in business administration (e.g. NVQ2), a willingness to work towards to a qualification and/or significant experience in a similar role
  • Confident and capable of using MS Office applications to a basic / intermediate level
  • Clear, confident communicator via email, phone and in person
  • Someone who thrives working in a team
  • Able to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment with strict deadlines
