Are you looking to start your career in business administration, develop real workplace skills, and make a positive impact in our communities?

Join us as our Business Support Administrator Apprentice and become a valued part of our North East London team.

This is your opportunity to gain hands‑on administrative experience while completing a fully funded Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues who will support, guide and mentor you as you build the foundations of a successful career.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in helping the Business Support team deliver efficient, high‑quality services across the region. Every day will be different, but you’ll be involved in tasks such as:

  • Managing the Business Support inbox, responding, actioning, and allocating tasks to the right teams
  • Processing incoming post and handling requests using in‑house systems
  • Keeping our customer relationship dashboard up to date by reviewing cases and ensuring key information is recorded
  • Supporting Business Support Officers with case management, updates, and communication
  • Processing purchase orders, invoices and ad hoc payments
  • Providing clear, professional support to colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Ensuring all data is handled accurately, safely, and in line with GDPR
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture

Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll build confidence, develop business administration skills, and gain valuable experience that will set you up for future opportunities with us.

About the Apprenticeship

As part of your 19‑month apprenticeship, you’ll spend at least 20% of your time learning and developing, taking part in training sessions, workshops and regular 1:1 review. You’ll complete assignments and assessments linked to your day‑to‑day role, receive mentoring and support from experienced colleagues, and gain exposure to different teams across the organisation. Your programme will conclude with an end‑point assessment to achieve your qualification.

If you haven’t yet achieved Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English, don’t worry, we’ll support you to complete these too.

You will need:
✔ Level 2 qualifications (equivalent to 5 GCSEs)
✔ Basic IT skills, especially Microsoft Office & Outlook
✔ A willingness to grow, learn and develop throughout the apprenticeship

Are You Eligible? Read This First - Funding Eligibility Requirements!

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or over.
  • Not be in full-time education at the start of the apprenticeship.
  • Not already hold qualifications at the same or a higher level in a similar subject. If you gained your qualifications outside the UK, we’ll need a ENIC translation (www.naric.org.uk)
  • Have lived in the UK/EEA for at least 3 years prior to the commencement of your apprenticeship
  • Your residency status must remain valid for the entire duration of the apprenticeship.

What to expect from our recruitment process

We’re committed to a fair, inclusive, and transparent recruitment process. As part of your application, you’ll answer values-based questions aligned to our values along with multiple-choice scenario questions to help us understand how you approach real-life situations. These responses are an important part of the selection process before interview.

If you meet the eligibility and essential shortlisting criteria, you’ll be invited to attend a virtual screening interview on the 18 March.

Candidates who are successful at the screening stage will then be invited to attend an assessment day at our offices in Islington, Hugh Cubitt Centre on the 25 March.

If you are successful, you will then complete the final step before starting your apprenticeship. Our Academy will carry out the apprenticeship programme eligibility activities, which include the BKSB assessment and Skills Scan. These activities help ensure that the apprenticeship is the right fit for your development and learning needs.
