Salary details:£8.00 per hour/£15,434.27 per annum from 1st April 2026, for all ages in their first year of the apprenticeship. The National Minimum Wage as appropriate to age is then paid for the remainder of the apprenticeship contract following completion of the first year. About the role
The apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience in learning about the Children, Young People and Families directorate and gaining invaluable experience of working and supporting the Children in Care Service.
We are looking for someone who has enthusiasm for working for children’s social care and specifically in the Children in Care team where you will play an important role in the lives of the children in Doncaster.
In this role you will work towards your Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship with Doncaster College.
About You
No experience is required, just a desire to succeed, enthusiasm and a keen interest in the range of council functions and organisation. Due to the nature of this role, you will represent the Council, evidencing the professional and business-like approach we have to customers, potential customers and other partners. You will be expected to work in accordance with service standards, procedures and timescales and take a significant role in ensuring we meet our service priorities, so a flexible approach is required.
This is a really exciting opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career and gain invaluable experience as a Business Support Apprentice in the Children, Young People and Families Directorate. The skills, knowledge and experience gained from this position will provide a good basis for further progression within the council.
