Job Description

Job Title: Business Support Assistant - Grangewaters Outdoor Education Activity Centre
Salary: £26,556– £28,764 per annum (pro rata to hours worked as part-time)
Grade: B
Contract Type: Fixed Term - 12 months
Working Hours: 28 hours per week

About the Role

As a Business Support Assistant, you’ll play a key role in keeping our centre running smoothly and ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and supported. In this dynamic position, you will:

  • Deliver a warm, professional, and informative reception service to all our customers
  • Provide essential administrative support to both the Grangewaters team and the Participation Team
  • Manage key finance tasks, including bookings, invoicing, and handling important customer information

This role offers the chance to make a genuine impact by helping create seamless experiences for our visitors and contributing to the continued success and growth of our centre.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who brings energy, confidence, and a can‑do attitude, with:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with callers, email enquiries, and visitors at every level
  • Flexibility to support the changing needs of a busy and varied service
  • A keen eye for detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and produce clear statistical information when required
  • The confidence to use your own initiative, prioritise your workload effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a wider, supportive team

DBS Check: Yes, basic check level is required.
