BUSINESS SUPPORT ASSISTANTS - Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence Team and Family Help Team

We have some exciting opportunities within our Business Support Service for self-motivated Business Support Assistants, providing essential support to our practice staff members. We are recruiting to 7 full time positions across the Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence Business Support Team (3 posts) and within our Family Help Business Support Team (4 posts).

The Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence Business Support team provide business support to the Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence team within the Trust. This includes: Multi-Agency Referral at Conference (MARAC), One Day One Conference (ODOC), Operation Unite and MARAC information.

As part of a centralised and flexible support service, maintaining critical services to children and families, it is our priority that the team provides the support as outlined above, as well as works flexibly across the Trust providing advice and guidance where required.

The Family Help Business Support team will provide Business Support to The Family Help District teams across the City. The Family Help team provide frontline workers with administrative tasks to enable early support to families.

You will be working with colleagues and multi-agency professionals at all levels across the service to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable children and families.

  • You will be a ‘can-do' approachable person, who is passionate about high quality customer service delivery and performance
  • Flexibility to provide continuity of service.
  • Be able to manage several conflicting priorities and use your own initiative to respond independently to difficult problems and unexpected situations providing a solution focused response
  • Multitasking skills in team task requirements
  • Good IT skills in Excel, Teams, Outlook
  • Training and development on all the required team tasks will be provided as necessary.

Key skills required;

  • A good understanding of customer service.
  • Experience of teamwork, evidencing the understanding of expectations and driving outcome focused performance.
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities, the ability to organise own workload and decide priorities.
  • The ability to work under pressure, including meeting deadlines and dealing with interruptions.
  • The ability to resolve internal/external issues and providing a solution focused response.
  • The ability to communicate complicated or sensitive information with varied audiences in person and/or in writing.
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a team environment, providing cover when needed to ensure continuity of service provision.
  • The ability to manage a process, ensuring accurate and timely outputs.
  • The ability to cope with situations where there is an emotional demand arising from the work being undertaken

Teams are citywide, working on a hybrid basis, and are primarily based either at One Avenue Road, Aston or Lifford House, Stirchley. However, you will be required to attend other hubs located across the city on an ad hoc basis. Hybrid working involves a minimum of 2 days based in the office per week with the remainder working from home. All staff are required to attend additional days set by management as and when required for Team meetings, supervision or due to rota purposes. These days are determined by management.

Working hours are 8.45 am to 5.15 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45 am to 4.15 pm Friday.
