The Older People and Physical Disabilities (OPPD) Service is looking for a passionate and dedicated Business Support Officer to join our amazing team and help deliver excellent care and support to older adults, adults with physical disabilities, and their carers.

About the Role:

We have one vacancy for a Business Support Officer in our OPPD Business Support Team. In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-level administrative support, including managing large datasets in Excel.
  • Organise and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with meetings, reports, and accurate record-keeping across various IT systems.
  • Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders to support service delivery.
  • Support managers and practitioners with administrative, financial, and IT tasks to ensure smooth service operation.

This role requires adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate records and managing data.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Excel and Word, or a willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting your team daily.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals.

About the Team:

The OPPD Business Support Team works closely with social workers, occupational therapists, and assistant practitioners, providing the administrative backbone essential for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

You’ll join a supportive, collaborative environment that values professional development, continuous learning, and helping our service users live as independently as possible.
