Our Adult Social Care Service is looking for a passionate and dedicated Business Support Officer to join our amazing team at Orient Street and help make a difference today.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in supporting the Orient Street Short Break Service, which provides essential respite for young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the service — helping frontline staff focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality care and support.
As a Business Support Officer, you will:
- Provide efficient and proactive administrative support across the service.
- Manage financial and data processes using systems such as Mosaic, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Produce accurate reports, maintain spreadsheets and trackers, and ensure data integrity.
- Handle calls, emails, and correspondence with professionalism.
- Support the management team with scheduling, record-keeping, and building access coordination.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in administrative processes and service delivery.
This role is based on-site at the Orient Street Respite Unit, where you will help coordinate visitors, contractors, and maintenance workers.
Please note that this role requires an Enhanced DBS check prior to employment.
About You:
You are an organised, motivated, and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in providing excellent administrative support. You’ll have:
- Substantial experience in administrative or business support roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with systems such as SAP or Mosaic.
- A good understanding of financial data management and reporting.
- An interest in or understanding of learning disabilities, autism, and adult social care.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
A willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a meaningful cause is essential.
