    Business and Executive Support Team provides a centrally led business support administrative function which is aligned to meet the requirements of Staffordshire County Council, and which fulfils the needs of the organisation as it evolves.

    This exciting position sits within the Business and Executive Support Service. Currently, this staffing team support a multitude of service areas across the organisation.

    This is a Fixed Term Contract until 30 September 2027.

    Work base is Staffordshire Place 1, Tipping Street, Stafford but some hybrid/remote working in line with business requirements.


    Main Responsibilities

    The role requires flexibility to support the wider Business and Executive Support Service when required to meet priority demands and will enable you to develop your skills and experience a variety of work opportunities across the service.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Providing support and assistance to managers across a range of Health Care & Corporate Training Services
    • Servicing and support a range of meetings for internal and multi-agency stakeholders
    • Accurately inputting and maintaining internal systems including client based information system, training software, plus daily use of MS Office 365 packages
    • Completing a range of administrative and customer care tasks ensuring compliance with business processes and Service Level Agreements
    • Service Inbox maintenance, dealing with queries, signposting and taking appropriate action
    • Liaising with internal and external customers and developing good working relationships and engagement


    The Ideal Candidate

    The role requires flexibility to support the wider Business and Executive Support Service when required to meet priority demands and will enable you to develop your skills and experience a variety of work opportunities across the service.

    It's essential you have:

    • Administrative skills and experience to support the provision of a timely and high-quality Business Support service for the council.
    • Excellent communication skills to engage with our internal and external customers and administration teams to share best practise using digital solutions where appropriate to improve processes.
    • Ability to achieve targets and respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
    • Good IT skills with a knowledge of MS 365 software
    • Ability to comply with relevant information, Privacy and Data Security policies.

    It is also desirable for you to have:

    • Ability to work on own initiative with a minimum of supervision
    • Able to work with diverse customer base and audiences

    Shortlisting will take place week commencing 6th July 2026 and interviews will be held on Wednesday 15th July 2026.
