Job description
Business support roles throughout the agency are all customer focused, requiring excellent use of communication skills, whilst providing advice and guidance to a large range of stakeholders. Regardless of the role you'll be assigned, there are a large number of tasks you'll be required to complete regularly in areas such as: logistics coordination, stock management, project management, policy development, administration and governance to operations, corporate and central services functions. Your varied range of duties will constantly bring new challenge but also allow you to assist the National Crime Agency's (NCA) work towards it's strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Business Support - Through policy development, planning, performance, service delivery and governance.
Support Projects - Undertake projects, to include assessment of requisitions and incoming goods, case notifications, quality reviews, planning activity and campaigns
Support Policy Development - By researching, drafting, developing, collating and co-ordinating
Act as Single Point of Contact (SPoC) - Act as a point of contact for business and administrative queries and ensure that systems are established to monitor, audit and review processes/procedures.
Line Management - Manage a team of Business Support Assistants.
Producing: Management Information, Reports, Briefings and business plans on a regular - By researching, drafting, developing, collating and co-ordinating to prepare accurate monthly management reports for senior management meetings or reviews.
Data Governance - Ensure the quality, secure handling and dissemination of data/information, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and a duty of care in line with Agency policy.
Maintaining working relations - Maintain working relations across government departments, statutory bodies, private organisations (as appropriate) and attend working groups, government committees / meetings
Allocation and Completion of work - Ensuring the Business Support Assistants workloads are manageable and delegated appropriately.

IT Skills - Ability to confidently work with Microsoft Office as well as learn other applications and programmes as required.
Data Analysis - Ability to extract and interpret complex data/information. Uses analytical skills, varied sources of information and different methodologies to support decision-making.
Customer Service - Understands who the customer is, what they want and need and effectively delivers against those requirements, exceeding expectations where possible.
Organised - Able to plan carefully, keep things tidy and work effectively.
Problem Solving - Using logic and imagination to make sense of a situation and find an intelligent solution.

Entry Requirements
