Our Business Support Service is looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and organised individuals who can ensure that a high level of administrative support is provided to our departments.
Our Business Support Service is a centralised unit which has been formed to deliver a co-ordinated, consistent, and high-quality service supporting service delivery across the organisation. Business Support is critical to ensuring our departments can support services to our residents, and if you have great administrative skills and a strong customer focus, you could be part of it.
You’ll be working as part of the central Business Support Service with more than 400 colleagues, and you’ll be supporting our departments to ensure they are able to deliver critical services to the residents of Hertfordshire.
About the role
This role will involve regularly sending letters, taking minutes, and supporting the day to day running of the office and team by ordering of supplies and services. The post holder will be key to ensuring that the team are able to undertake their tasks with the family and will be integral to the smooth running of the office base.
This is an opportunity to work with teams who are committed to changing the lives of children and families in Hertfordshire and you will be a key in supporting this work. About you
Essential:
- Proven experience in an administrative or support role
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a range of audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Experience in working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to plan own work over short timescales for routine or familiar tasks and processes and use your initiative to work independently.
- GCSE or Vocational equivalent, strong numeracy, and literacy skills
- Enthusiasm and pride in your work are qualities we welcome.
Desirable:
- You will be used to working to tight deadlines and with high accuracy in written correspondence. Experience in taking notes would be beneficial,
