
Caretaker
We are recruiting a Caretaker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 10
Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term Until 31st March 2027
Location: Van Community Centre
Team: Sport and Leisure Services

We are seeking a reliable and practical Caretaker to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming Community Centre.
The role involves supporting the delivery of high‑quality services, ensuring the security of the building and acting as custodian of the premises for a wide range of community activities and hirers.
The post holder will be required to have a good working relationship with Council Maintenance / Health and Safety / Fire Officers and contractors, who will need to access the building frequently.

For the role, we ask that you have:
- Awareness of the importance of health and safety requirements particularly cleanliness and hygiene.
- The ability to act upon initiative and to deal with unexpected problems.
- Experience in general caretaking and cleaning duties.
