Make a Difference in Lancaster
Join us as a Casual Duty Manager and play a vital role in bringing The Storey, Ashton Hall, and other council venues to life. You’ll help create safe, welcoming spaces where events and private hires thrive, boosting local economy and supporting Lancaster’s vibrant cultural scene. Your work will contribute to community safety, inclusivity, and our commitment to tackling the Climate Emergency.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll supervise venue operations, ensuring safety and high standards every day. From managing bookings, setting up events, and overseeing bar operations, to conducting safety checks and handling customer enquiries, your role is hands-on and varied. You’ll also support major festivals, deliver staff training, and liaise with contractors to keep venues running smoothly.

You’ll Fit Right In If…
You have experience in entertainment venues, event supervision, and security duties, including key holder responsibilities. You’re confident with licensing, health and safety standards, and comfortable using booking systems and basic ICT tools. You’re organised, communicative, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Above all, you share our values of Working Together, Ambition, Pride, and Ownership to deliver excellent service and a safe, inclusive environment.
