Casual Forestry Supervisor

Job description

A vacancy has arisen for the post of casual forestry supervisor.

This post will be utilised on a casual basis when required by the service area.

The post is responsible for the delivery of the forestry service to inspect and maintain the Councils tree stock.

You will be responsible for organising the daily work schedules for the frontline teams, ensuring that works are prioritised according to the condition and location of trees.

You will also be required to respond to customer enquiries which often involve site visits to identify any works to be carried out.

Other duties include carrying out site safety inspections of frontline teams, preparing risk assessments and arranging employee training. A good knowledge of health & safety is essential to the role.

Applicants must have previous experience in arboriculture with a good understanding of the type of tree maintenance works required.

You will also require a driving licence, as you will be required to carry-out regular site visits.
