We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our hospitality and events team on a casual basis. If you enjoy delivering great customer service, working as part of a team, and taking on varied tasks – this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role:

As a Café & Events Assistant, you’ll support the daily running of café and bar services and assist with event operations. Your responsibilities will include serving food and drinks, setting up event spaces, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for customers and guests.

This role offers a variety of work across food service, customer interaction, and event support, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, snacks, and light meals.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in café, bar, and event settings.
  • Operate tills and handle payments, including basic cashing-up procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including café, kitchen, and bar.
  • Replenish stock and ensure displays are well-presented and fully stocked.
  • Follow all hygiene, health and safety, and food handling procedures.
  • Support with room and equipment set-ups for events.
  • Assist with bar service during functions, as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a café, bar, or hospitality environment.
  • Friendly, professional attitude with strong customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work casual hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
  • Basic food preparation skills and willingness to learn.
