We’re looking for enthusiastic and passionate Casual Swimming Instructors to join our friendly and supportive teams across our leisure centres in Stoke-on-Trent.

In this rewarding role, you’ll help deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons to a wide range of participants, supporting swimmers of all ages and abilities to develop their skills and enjoy being active in the water. You’ll play an important part in helping our communities stay healthy, active and confident around water.

You’ll be based across our fantastic leisure facilities including Fenton Manor Sports Complex, Dimensions Leisure Centre and New Horizons Leisure Centre. These venues are some of the city’s most popular sport and leisure destinations, welcoming over a million visitors each year.

As part of our dedicated swim teaching team, you’ll work alongside colleagues who are passionate about what they do and committed to creating a welcoming, safe and enjoyable experience for everyone who visits.

We’re looking for instructors who are:

• Friendly, approachable and professional, providing a warm welcome to all swimmers and visitors
• Passionate about teaching and helping people develop new skills and confidence in the water
• Committed to maintaining high safety standards and following centre procedures including NOPS, EAPs, COSHH and risk assessments
• Qualified with relevant lifeguarding and swimming instructor certifications, including maintaining current RLSS qualifications and completing the annual departmental water test

This is a casual position, meaning hours will be offered on an as-needed basis depending on programme requirements. While work cannot be guaranteed, this role offers flexibility and is ideal for those looking for part-time or occasional work in a supportive and active environment.
