An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the Derbyshire Catering Service, renowned for excellence and quality.

Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a team?
We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our dedicated kitchen team at Buxworth Primary School.

In this role, you will support the Kitchen Supervisor across all areas of service. Tasks may include:

  • Food preparation and cooking
  • Portion control and allergen compliance
  • Preparing the dining area for service
  • Serving meals and ensuring a positive experience for our customers

Our Catering Assistants are the friendly face of our service, helping create great lunchtime memories while maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and health & safety.

What we’re looking for:

  • A team player with a positive attitude suited to a school environment
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Willingness to complete an NVQ Food Hygiene Certificate upon appointment
