We are now recruiting for a Centre Support and Administration Assistant to join our team. Based at the Newark Beacon, you will provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.

The Newark Beacon is a well-established business centre, managing all types of businesses and providing a full suite of management services. It plays an integral part in supporting the Council to meet the objectives of its Community Plan by supporting the generation of income. This allows the Council to improve the services it offers residents as well as to provide excellent premises and support for businesses.

In this varied post, you will be responsible for a range of duties including running the busy Reception area, meeting and greeting visitors, making sure that the conference rooms are set up, manning the switchboard and providing general office and administrative support for the Corporate Property business unit. In addition to this, the post holder will also be responsible for maintaining social media channels for the Newark Beacon including engaging with audiences on a daily basis to build relationships and to promote the services that we offer.

The successful candidate must have experience working in a busy office environment as well as working directly with the public. You will have excellent customer service skills and be willing to go the extra mile to provide a great service for our client companies. You will have strong ICT skills and be proficient at using a range of Social Media channels. In addition, you will be able to prioritise tasks effectively, work in an organised manner and be able to maintain a professional approach in a busy environment.
