Chief Inspector Promotion Boards - September 2025

Promotion Boards to the rank of Chief Inspector will be held on 4th, 5th & 8th September 2025.

If you wish to be considered, please register your interest by submitting an application via the E-Recruitment Portal no later than 23:55 on Friday, 1 August 2025.

In addition to your online application, you must also complete and submit the Chief Inspector Promotion Board Portfolio. Please email your completed portfolio to:

• People Services will coordinate oversight of applications by the Chief Officer Team.
• Shortlisting will be based on your submitted portfolio and the recommendation of the Chief Officer Team.
• By submitting your portfolio, you confirm your understanding of the leadership responsibilities and standards expected at Chief Inspector rank, and your commitment to uphold them if successful.
• You must be up to date with all mandatory training and willing to work anywhere within the Force area.
• If you have any restrictions or exemptions the board should be aware of, please detail these in the ‘sign off’ section of your portfolio.
• Candidates requiring reasonable adjustments at any stage should contact the People Services, Workforce and Leadership Team to discuss available support.
