We’re excited to be expanding our Sustainable Development team and are looking for two experienced Class 3 Registered Building Inspectors (RBI Specialists) to join us. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Luton - one of the UK’s fastest-evolving towns - and to leave your mark on projects that will be talked about for generations.

🌟 Why This Role Stands Out

As part of our Building Control team, you’ll take the lead on High-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and complex schemes, working closely with the Building Safety Regulator as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You’ll be trusted with responsibility from day one, supervising and supporting others, while using your expertise to drive compliance at the highest level. Your work will be fast-paced, varied, and reactive - no two days are ever the same. You’ll be expected to develop and supervise the team, encouraging and supporting personal development of others and ensuring that complex, high-profile developments meet the very highest standards of safety and quality.

And you’ll be directly involved in delivering some of the region’s most exciting projects, including:

  • London Luton Airport expansion
  • The brand-new Luton Town Football Club stadium
  • Transformational works at the University of Bedfordshire
  • Major redevelopment at Luton & Dunstable Hospital
  • Housing growth and regeneration across the borough

Our achievements have already been recognised with prestigious LABC Awards, and now we’re looking for passionate inspectors to help us build on that success.

Please note this role does not attract sponsorship.

About you

We’re looking for highly skilled inspectors with proven Class 3 enforcement experience, capable of working independently on high-risk buildings (Categories G & H).

You’ll bring:

  • Registration with the Building Safety Regulator as a Building Inspector
  • Substantial Building Control experience, particularly in enforcement, HRBs, and complex schemes
  • Strong technical expertise to assess designs, conduct inspections, and make robust decisions
  • Confidence in supervising and mentoring others within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CABE, CIOB, or equivalent)
  • A relevant degree (Building Control, Surveying, Construction, Structural Engineering) or equivalent experience
