A casual position approximately 2 hours a week (Flexible) – Term time only

Grade 4 £15.35 per hour

We are looking to appoint a Clerk to Governors with good personal, organisational and computing skills to join our school.

Average 2 hours per week reliant on the number of meetings arranged and any additional related work required.

The post involves record keeping, preparation of and circulating agendas and associated paperwork, attending meetings and taking minutes, liaising with Governors and working with the Chair in managing the smooth and efficient running of the Governing Body. Part of the position involves learning about governance and being able to answer questions for the governing body on
governance.

We would need the successful candidate to:

• Have strong organisational and administrative skills
• Have experience of taking minutes at meetings, assimilating key information and preparing letters
• Have good ICT skills
• Possess good basic literacy and numeracy skills (to GCSE level or above)
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and be keen to work as part of a team
• Maintain Confidentiality
• Advise the Governing Body on constitutional matters and ensure the continuity of Governing Body
business

Much of the work of the clerk to governors can be done at home.
