
Client Charging Officer - Client Finances Team

About The Role:
As a Client Charging Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring that service users are charged accurately for their care and support services.
You'll calculate client contributions, raise invoices, process health funding recharges, and maintain accurate financial records.
You'll also support customers by providing advice, guidance, and information in a professional and compassionate manner.
Working within a supportive team environment, you'll analyse information from internal systems, produce reports, manage personal budget reconciliations, and help ensure compliance with council policies and statutory requirements.
About You:
You will have strong numeracy, IT and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to deadlines.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Perform accurate mathematical calculations and confidently explain results to customers.
- Analyse and collate information from different sources.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook effectively.
- Learn and use internal systems such as MOSAIC, Academy and Oracle Fusion.
- Communicate clearly and sensitively with service users, colleagues, senior staff and external organisations.
- Deal confidently and professionally with challenging customer situations.
- Manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Work independently while also being a reliable and collaborative team member.
Previous experience of working in a financial environment is required, while office-based customer service or administration experience would be beneficial.
An understanding of a person-centred approach within a social care setting is also desirable.
