
Collections Assistant
As a Collections Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Collections team, where you’ll be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure processes run smoothly and to ensure effective service delivery is achieved and maintained.
What you’ll be doing
Your role will involve a wide variety of tasks, including entering data, handling correspondence, maintaining court diaries and files, and raising purchase orders. Part of your responsibility will also include managing the administration of electronic statements and dealing with credit refund requests by liaising with local authorities and tenants.
You’ll be actively involved in managing, logging and tracking correspondence, and keeping the team updated on overdue responses will also be part of your duties. Where required you’ll support with raising invoices and the collection of rechargeable repairs to ensure all debits are collected effectively and in a timely manner. Part of your role will also be to manage various email inboxes, including the universal credit inbox, and to maintain and manage the UC online portal ensuring timely responses to all verification requests.
Please note this is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave.
What we’re looking for
You’re a proactive team player with a passion for administration and customer service, with proven experience in:
- Previous experienced in a administrative / customer-focused environment
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Familiar with the basics of social housing (desirable)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Calm under pressure, building credibility and respect with internal and external stakeholders
- Resident and customer centric, putting them at the centre of everything you do
- Highly collaborative and a confident communicator, both written and verbal
