
Community Centre Caretaker
We are recruiting a Community Centre Caretaker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term for 1 year
Location: Deri Community Centre
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £8,168 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are seeking a reliable, practical and dedicated Caretaker to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming community centre for all who use it. In this role, you will support the smooth delivery of high‑quality services by ensuring the building is well cared for, secure, and ready for daily activities.
You will act as a responsible custodian of the premises, assisting a wide range of community groups, visitors and hirers to ensure they have a positive and well‑supported experience.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- Awareness of the way that voluntary building management operates. Awareness of the importance of health and safety requirements particularly cleanliness and hygiene. Awareness of the need to protect children and vulnerable adults.
- Ability to work alone and unsupervised.
- Experience in the operation of heating / lighting / alarm systems.
