    From timber-framed cottages and medieval churches to Georgian streetscapes and Victorian civic buildings, our districts offer an extraordinary range of heritage assets.This role places you at the heart of planning and conservation, supporting development management, strategic heritage initiatives, and public engagement.

    In this role you will:

    • Advise on planning applications, listed building consents, and enforcement cases affecting designated heritage assets.
    • Undertake site visits and provide expert input on repairs, alterations, and heritage statements.
    • Support the preparation of conservation policy documents and contribute to appeals and public inquiries.
    • Promote good design and conservation practice across the district.

    About you: You’ll bring:

    • A degree Historic Building Conservation, Planning, or a related field.
    • At least one year’s experience in planning or conservation.
    • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
    • Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
