We are recruiting a Cook in Charge at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 22.50
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Term Time Only (38 weeks)
Location: Ysgol Gymraeg Gilfach Fargoed

The post is permanent, part time, term time only.

The purpose of the role is to provide a catering service within Ysgol Gymraeg Gilfach Fargoed, the successful candidate may be required to work at other locations throughout the Caerphilly Borough.

To supervise others in the workplace, working within the guidelines set out by Caerphilly Catering Services to ensure correct performance standards are achieved. The successful candidate will have to possess excellent staff management skills.

The successful candidate will be working under the supervision of the supervisor / manager in providing the catering service observing all food hygiene and health and safety regulations.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety.
  • The ability to work precisely and effectively under pressure and to deadlines and have a strong sense of purpose.
  • Experience of large scale catering.
