Luton Rising is looking for a skilled Cost Value Engineer with a passion for managing project finances and ensuring cost efficiency. You’ll be the in-house expert on Project Cost Management to help us plan, estimate, budget, and control costs across our development projects. As a Cost/Value Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are completed within their approved budgets, while also identifying cost reduction opportunities and managing expenditures.

In this role, you will work closely with project managers, the finance team, and senior leadership to ensure that all cost-related aspects of our projects are carefully managed. You will provide expert advice on procurement strategies, cashflow forecasts, tender documentation, and cost management requirements for supplier contracts. You will also monitor project expenditures, prepare cost reports using Sage Intacct, and help identify any potential financial risks early on.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience and a strong background in cost management, value engineering and accountancy services. Experience working on development projects, with a focus on financial accuracy with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends and inconsistencies, and produce meaningful reports.

You’ll be a confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels and build trusting relationships, with the ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload, while also mentoring and supporting project teams.
