Customer Contact Advisor Apprentice

Location: Thamesmead (with regular cover at Charlton)
Contract: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship (19 Month Apprenticeship)

About the role

As a Customer Contact Advisor Apprentice, you’ll be a welcoming first point of contact for residents, visitors and colleagues, while also providing essential administrative support to our operational teams.

This is a varied role combining front‑of‑house reception duties with office and business support tasks. You’ll be based mainly at our Thamesmead office, with regular cover required at our Charlton office, so flexibility is important.

Alongside your role, you’ll work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship, gaining a recognised qualification and valuable on‑the‑job experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Welcoming residents, visitors and colleagues
  • Handling enquiries face to face, by phone and by email
  • Supporting operational teams and signposting queries
  • Managing reception inboxes and shared spaces
  • Completing admin tasks, updating records and using internal systems
  • Taking part in training and development linked to your apprenticeship

About you

You will be:

  • Comfortable in a front‑of‑house role, maintaining a calm, welcoming and professional presence
  • Detail‑focused and process‑driven, able to handle information accurately, confidentially and in line with procedures
  • A proactive team player, willing to collaborate with operational teams and take ownership of tasks
  • Motivated to learn and develop, committed to completing a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or over.
  • Not be in full-time education at the start of the apprenticeship.
  • Not already hold qualifications at the same or a higher level in a similar subject. If you gained your qualifications outside the UK, we’ll need a ENIC translation (www.naric.org.uk)
  • Have lived in the UK/EEA for at least 3 years prior to the commencement of your apprenticeship
  • Your residency status must remain valid for the entire duration of the apprenticeship.

What to expect from our recruitment process

We’re committed to a fair, inclusive, and transparent recruitment process. As part of your application, you’ll answer values-based questions aligned to our principles, along with multiple-choice scenario questions to help us understand how you approach real-life situations. These responses are an important part of the selection process before interview.

If you meet the eligibility and essential shortlisting criteria, you’ll be invited to attend an assessment/interview on the 13 May in our offices in Waterloo.

If you are successful, you will then complete the final step before starting your apprenticeship. Our Academy will carry out the apprenticeship programme eligibility activities, which include the BKSB assessment and Skills Scan. These activities help ensure that the apprenticeship is the right fit for your development and learning needs.
