We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking Data Analyst to join our Strategy and Performance team. This is a pivotal role where you will support the development of our business intelligence capabilities.

What you’ll do

  • Take a leading role in enhancing the Council’s data and analytical capabilities.
  • Design, build and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards to support evidence-based decision making and oversight.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather, analyse and interpret data.
  • Deliver high-quality performance and impact reports that highlight key trends and strategic insight.
  • Support the development and implementation of a robust data strategy and maturity framework.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a data analyst role, ideally within the public sector.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and data modelling.
  • Experience with SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools (e.g., Python or R).
  • Ability to communicate complex data and insight clearly to a range of audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The position is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract.
